Kyowa Kirin were an existing tenant at Galabank Business Park and were considering relocating due to rapid growth and the need for significantly larger premises.

Vacant possession of the adjacent building was secured in 2016 by relocating the original tenant to a new fully refurbished building elsewhere in Galashiels.

​

We worked closely with Image Estates and Kyowa Kirin to design a new 35,500 sq.ft. headquarters facility by combining the two original buildings, creating a new link building and construction of a new car park.

Upon completion of the redevelopment works in 2017 Kyowa Kirin entered into a new 10-year FRI lease.

​

The new enlarged HQ has secured 150 highly skilled jobs for the Borders economy.
